Senior-Level Engineer

Anchor QEA, an environmental science and engineering consulting firm, is seeking a full-time SENIOR-LEVEL ENGINEER for its San Francisco, California office.

This engineering position offers the right candidate the opportunity to play a key role in developing and furthering Anchor QEA’s presence in the Bay Area, and to grow into a senior leadership role with the firm. This position will involve developing and managing contracts and work scopes, schedules, and budgets; identifying and pursuing engineering- and waterfront- related business development opportunities; staff and office management; and growing client relationships.
The ideal candidate should have 10 to 20 years of experience on environmental waterfront projects and should have demonstrable experience managing complex multidisciplinary projects, clients, staff and sub-consultants. Candidates for the position should have a M.S. degree in coastal, geotechnical, environmental, civil, hydraulic, or related engineering field.  Responsibilities for the position includes  project management, client interaction, construction oversight, and planning and overseeing field studies, modeling, engineering analysis, report preparation, and construction document preparation.  P.E. certification is required, and understanding and experience with some or several of the following fields is preferred: contaminated sediments, aquatic restoration, dredging and sediment disposal, port operations and development, and aquatic-based regulations and permits. Strong written and verbal communications skills are a must.
