Anchor QEA is a leader in harbors and marinas permitting and development. By applying our firm’s multi-disciplinary capabilities and integrated project management approach, we are able to plan, design, and manage the maintenance and/or new construction of state-of-the-art facilities. Anchor QEA has extensive experience managing issues important to marina planning including slip-mix, shading, habitat surveys, and mitigation, in addition to experience with related eelgrass, dredging, and geotechnical issues. Engaging Anchor QEA’s planning and permitting services early in the process maximizes results and allows for an integrated team approach.

Our staff develops relationships and trust with regulatory representatives within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA), Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW), Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology), the California Coastal Commission, California Regional Water Quality Control Boards, U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association (NOAA) Fisheries, and others to minimize permitting issues and maximize design efficiency.  Our staff is also highly skilled in preparing marina-related National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Washington State Environmental Policy Act (SEPA), and California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) documentation.
