Planning and Permitting
Anchor QEA environmental planners help our clients navigate the increasingly complex regulatory landscape. We have extensive expertise in developing and implementing comprehensive regulatory compliance strategies for a variety of projects including:
- Restoration
- Water resources
- Coastal resilience
- Energy and transportation infrastructure
- Port and waterfront development
- Climate planning
Our team oversees complex technical analysis and prepares regulatory permitting documentation to support federal, state, and local regulations, ranging from compliance with local critical areas ordinances and shoreline management programs to preparation of large-scale environmental documents, such as environmental impact statements and reports.
We maintain excellent relationships with federal, state, and local agency staff, which helps streamline communication during permitting efforts and maintain project priority during permit review. In addition, our staff include several former agency regulators, including former USACE, National Marine Fisheries Services, U.S. Department of Navy, and Federal Rail Administration employees, which provides us further insight into the internal operating practices, policies, and regulatory guidance of these agencies.
