Blake Island Marine State Park

Kitsap County, Washington

Blake Island offers recreational boating, camping, and educational activities connecting the public with Puget Sound’s natural and cultural heritage. Just off the coast of Seattle, the marine infrastructure of this state park has been impacted by coastal changes in the last 50 years.

Working with the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission to renovate the Blake Island marina, Anchor QEA developed feasible alternatives that would minimize climate change vulnerabilities. The preferred alternative includes a new marina with a mix of slip sizes, boating amenities including power and water, universal and ADA access, and replacing a rock breakwater with a buried rock feature with soft shoreline enhancements.
