What’s the Opportunity?

Anchor QEA is seeking a part-time (25-hours/week), Operations Assistant II to work in our Portland, OR office.


This position is responsible for being the first point of contact for clients and visitors to Anchor QEA and is expected to greet them and provide information with professionalism and resourcefulness. Additional responsibilities include answering a multi­line phone, preparation and distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and shipments, assisting with management of office, laboratory and kitchen supply inventories, maintaining the appearance and upkeep of the office and kitchens, setting up and breaking down conference rooms, coordinating catering and WebEx for meetings, and conference room scheduling.

Other responsibilities include filing, on-site library and journal subscription updates and searches, central project filing, maintenance and organization of off-site files, assisting with Operations Helpdesk tickets, credit card reconciliation, assisting with committee events, and providing coverage during breaks, at the beginning/end of shifts, and during vacations to other operations staff. This position would support the Facilities and Operations Managers. Responsibilities could include invoicing support, and troubleshooting office issues (phone, internet, maintenance etc.).

What Are We Looking For?

Ideal candidates will have the following:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Outlook and Word with beginning knowledge of Excel
  • A minimum of 1-year related experience required
  • Quick learner and detail-oriented
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • An A.A. degree is desired
